I had such a fun time during this gorgeous desert engagement session. These last few weeks have been packed with engagement sessions, and it makes me so happy to get to meet my 2022 clients in person! These two were no different, except they made my job WAY too easy. These two were basically pros by the time we did their engagement photos. They were able to take some beautiful ones down in Mexico a while back, but I was so excited to get them in front of my camera this time around! Initially, we were hoping to have some beautiful vineyards for their photos, but with the unexpected snow and colder weather a few weeks ago, the vineyards still looked a little dead, so we decided to head out to Twin sisters and take their photos out there. I’m so glad we did because it was absolutely stunning out there! It was also Julio’s birthday so they made plans for dinner after their session, and I’m SURE they were the best-dressed guests there! They looked SO good!
I had to laugh when I asked these two to remind me how they met and Marissa said “when he slid into my DMs with the lyrics from Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey”. She thought it was a little weird, but agreed to a first date. They went to Ice Harbor Brewery where Julio told her that he was giving up potatoes for the beer with her as he was prepping for a fitness competition. He said he wasn’t hungry, but she was starving and ended up at Jack in the Box after their date. It’s so silly what we’re willing to do when we’re dating people and don’t want to feel embarrassed. I love it. HA!
When he proposed, he had planned a beautiful night at home with each other. Marissa walked in and knew what was happening when he started playing Don’t Stop Believin’ again, and they celebrated the next day with a photoshoot at Ice Harbor Brewery. As I mentioned, these two were basically pros during their shoot, and we had the best time. They made it look so easy, and we finished the shoot with them popping some champagne as the sun was setting behind the hill behind us. It was such a great day for a session, and I’m glad we ended up out at Twin sisters. It was amazing- see for yourself.
