It took a few tries and a few reschedules, but we finally made this Eastern Washington engagement session happen!! A few weeks back, I had to reschedule these two’s engagement session due to a funeral I had to go to. Then the next time we scheduled, it rained all day. This time around, the rain was back, but we were determined, and with a quick location change, it all worked out and we were finally able to make it happen! I loved getting to meet these two in real life for the first time, and getting them in front of my camera!
Jack and Kirby have known each other since high school. High school sweethearts are my jam, and these two fit in the category. As I was going over posing tips before we started their session when I mentioned one that I call “prom pose” they told me that they still have their prom photos together, including one where Kirby was “punching “Jack. HA! We didn’t replicate any previous prom poses, but we did have a great time.
Not as great as the night these two got engaged though. They had gone to Arbor Crest Winery in Spokane for wine tasting and charcuterie. Kirby mentioned that it was a beautiful day, and then ended up walking around the winery and that’s when it happened. They were able to get a short video of the special moment and then celebrated more that evening.
As I mentioned, these two went through high school together, and college just a few minutes apart. Just in the next few weeks, they will finish at both WSU and the University of Idaho! Kirby will be finished with vet school, Jack with law school, and it was pretty apparent how excited they are to finally start working what I deem their “big kid” jobs, and start their lives together! It’s a big year for them, and I cannot wait for their wedding this fall!
See another session with my couple that represented WSU here!
