It’s not very often that I venture my way to Walla Walla, but I can’t think of a more perfect reason than for this Walla Walla wedding at the Mountain View Lodge! Saturday was such an amazing day, in so many ways.
It’s no surprise that I love me some bridal details to start the day, and Lauryn had picked some of the CUTEST little trinkets for helping me style them- a ring dish, an adorable cupcake stand, and more!
These two decided to go the first look route, and I had a feeling it would be a good one. Right before, they had written love letters to each other that they read right before their first look. Lauryn told me that she had never seen Zac cry in the 5+ years they have been together, but it was no surprise to me when he ended up in tears seeing his beautiful bride for the first time. She was freakin’ gorgeous! Her Maggie Sottero gown from Amy’s Bridal Boutique hugged her in all the right ways, and I loved the illusion lace at the top of her sweetheart neckline. She couldn’t have picked a better fitting dress.
We busted out their portraits in record time (thanks to them becoming pros during their engagement session) and then we had too much fun with their bridal party, even throwing in a WSU flag to the mix of it all. The flag has been through at least 3 of their friend’s weddings, and they kept the tradition going strong! Go Cougs!
After all our photos were taken, it was time to relax and prepare for their ceremony. Lauryn had the perfect precursor to her entrance as her flower girl and nephew ring bearer both had breakdowns walking down the aisle, but it made everyone laugh and really was real life with tiny humans. Her father escorted her down the aisle to Zac. They both put letters into a unity wine box, to read on their anniversary, or when things get hard. Marriage is hard, guys 😛 Then they promised to forever with each other.
As the sun was setting, the temperature went down and it was the most perfect light for sunset photos to end the night. But not before Zac got iced during the garter toss. HA! Is it even a wedding if someone doesn’t get iced?!
Zac and Lauryn, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your beautiful day. The love you guys have for each other is so apparent, and I’m excited to see what you accomplish together. Congrats again!!
