It was pretty cold during this snowy Ellensburg engagement session, but after these two found the perfect spot for their session, I knew we had to make it happen- cold or not! The weather leading up to their shoot was pretty foggy, and while it was foggy for their session, I loved how their images turned out! With winter sessions, you either get beautiful glowy light (like my wedding last week), or more flat even light. Both of them have their beauty, and we got the latter during this shoot! I loved it!
These two go way back to high school! They started dating their summer before their senior year, and have stuck by each other through the years. Korteney told me “We are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to grow up together and even more fortunate that the people we grew into fit each-other so much more than who we were when when we first met.” and I absolutely LOVE that. I think it’s super important if you marry your high school sweetheart that you guys can grow together, and it’s pretty clear these two are perfect for who they were then, as well as who they are now.
Blake proposed to Korteney on a family trip to the Snake River. Korteney was COMPLETELY surprised but said it was perfect and beautiful! I’ve seen photos- I can attest to that.
