I have been out to Pine River Ranch so many times, but this was my first wintery Pine River Ranch Wedding! It was a perfect winter wonderland! I had the best time celebrating with Candy and Dawn and their family and friends. I think it would be hard to go wrong with a December wedding with Christmas colors, a bluebird day, Christmas music, Sorel boots, and two beautiful brides! I absolutely loved the little details of the day!
The two of them shared their gifts to each other, and they both got diamond earrings and necklaces! Great minds think alike! 🙂
They also both had the cutest buffalo plaid flannels that they wore while getting ready! I loved that they looked so cozy and comfortable in the morning!
And we have to take a minute and appreciate the boys of the wedding in their greens suspenders and Sorel boots! I loved their outfits!
They shared their first look together and then read their vows to each other. I had to suck my tears back in my head. They were perfect, and SO so sweet.
Sometimes the logistics of a winter wedding can be stressful. You don’t know if the weather is going to be ok. You don’t know if it will be slippery for your guests. You hope that everyone will drive safely to get there. These two took each hurdle of the day in strides and were able to really celebrate their special day that had been almost two decades in the making. Such a fun day to be a part of.
Candy mentioned that someone had told her they would make it snow on her wedding day– so the guys made it happen!
I absolutely LOVE the look of snow covered pines. As the sun was setting, it was hitting the trees in the prettiest ways, and I couldn’t help but get some shots of the beautiful trees.
I loved that they had a special shirt and sign to remember their late fathers. I’m sure they were there in spirit and so happy for their girls.
After their beautiful sunset ceremony, we headed up into the barn for their reception. With any Wintery Pine River Ranch Wedding, it’s nice to be able to head inside and warm back up from the cold.
All you need is love and donuts!
Another fun surprise was the live band these two had for their reception! Britnee Kellogg sang their first dance song, a few originals and some covers. Her and her band were great!
