I love shooting engagement sessions up in the mountains, and this Leavenworth Engagement Session was no different. These two are just amazing, and I loved getting the chance to not only meet them in real life, but to get to know them a bit more during this session!

Leavenworth Engagement Session

Billy and Mali’s story started pretty similar to my own love story. They were high school sweethearts, and I absolutely LOVE that about them. There’s something about being with someone that you knowfor that long and understand that really makes a relationship special. You’ve been with them through so many things, and you are really just a part of their story. You also get to be a bit more comfortable with them when you have known them for that long. Maybe sometimes a bit too comfortable. HA! 😀

I absolutely LOVED their sweet proposal story. They were going on a little picnic over in Seattle on one of the nicer summer days this year. The picnic went great, and they visited and laughed, just having a great time, but like all great things it had to come to an end eventually. They started packing up, and once everything was all together, Billy double checked with Mali that they weren’t forgetting anything. Unaware of what was to come next, Mali affirmed that they hadn’t and then Billy pulled out a gorgeous solitaire diamond  ring, and said “what about this?” and then asked her to be his wife.  She said yes, they hugged and kissed and celebrated the rest of the day!

And that brings us to day.

Since they are from Seattle, we wanted to find a place that was sort of middle ground for both of us, and we thought outside Leavenworth would be the perfect location for photos! And we were right. I absolutely LOVE that area. Growing up in Wyoming, I have always loved the beauty of the mountains! I hate the snow, but love that now, I just have to drive to them, and then I can leave when I’ve had enough. We laughed, and joked around, talked about Harleys, and they were up for anything!! I even got them to get into the FREEZING river for a few shots! These guys are AWESOME! 😀

I can’t wait to celebrate their big day next year with them, and continue to get to know them more! Thanks Billy and Mali for making the trek over the mountains to meet me in Leavenworth! I hope you guys had as much fun as I did! Go Hawks! 😉
