This Calvary Chapel wedding was absolutely perfect. The weather was amazing, 75 degrees with just a light breeze. The bride was stunning, and at the end of the day, she was married to her prince. And she left just like Cinderella. No shoes. 🙂
Calvary Chapel Wedding
JR and Alyssa had been waiting for this day for 4 years, and it was really a beautiful thing. Surrounded by friends and family, they vowed to love each other forever. It was hard to pick a favorite moment of the day because there were so many good ones, so I’ll just give you a recap.
I started my day with the girls doing what they do best, getting ready. I loved all of Alyssa’s gorgeous details, especially her dress. It was absolutely stunning. Once everyone was ready, we made our way to the ceremony location, but not before her daddy got to see her for the first time. It was adorable, and he kept saying that JR was going to need a nurse when he first saw her. She was beautiful. Then it was off the ceremony, but before it started, JR and Alyssa wanted to pray together.
They didn’t want to see each other before the wedding, so we strategically placed them around a corner, let them chat it up a little bit, hold hands, and then JR led them in the sweetest prayer for good luck through the day. It was exciting and nerve-wracking all at the same time, i’m sure. They went back into hiding for their last few moments, and then it was time.
The ceremony was beautiful, but my favorite parts were JR singing a song to Alyssa for his vows, and the family farewell. I seriously almost ugly cried during the family farewell. I had to pull myself together, because I almost lost it. HA! “Pull yourself together, Misty!”
After the ceremony, we busted out family photos in record time, shot the bridal party, and had a few moments for just the two of them before we made our way to the reception. Then the real party started.
They played a game to see who was the boss. People donated to their honeymoon cause but gave money to either JR or Alyssa-which ever they felt was the boss of the relationship. It was fun chasing them around through the crowd collecting money, and getting hugs and kisses in return. I loved the idea!
We ended the night with some beautiful speeches from the bridesmaids, best man, and parents of the bride and groom, and then the groomsmen HAD to see how high they could toss JR in the air! Bouquet toss, Garter throwing, and a ribbon exit ended the night and they drove off as husband and wife.
It really was an amazing day, full of love and promise. Thank you JR and Alyssa for letting me be a part of the day. I’m SO happy for you two, and can’t wait to see what God has in store for you! Enjoy Cancun!!!!! 😀
Also another huge thanks to all of their vendors that helped make their day beautiful! Everyone did a fantastic job! 😀
