It may have been a little chilly at this Keechelus Lake engagement session, but I had the best time getting to know these two! Our initial plans for their session was to head out to Gold Creek Pond, which is one of my favorite locations over on Snoqualmie pass. Unfortunately enough, it is many OTHER people’s favorite places as well. I got to the parking lot for the trailhead about 30 minutes early and parking was extremely limited with cars lining the road to even get to the parking lot. I knew that it would be crazy trying to find other parking (WORD TO THE WISE: don’t go there on the weekend!), so we made a last minute location change, and I’m so glad we did. I have been wanting to go the Keechelus Lake and shoot around the cool stumps with the water lower, and we got just that.
After we shot around the lake, I had them change into their second outfit, and we headed up the road a ways to get more of the fall colors in their photos! I wish I would have taken a photo of where we were actually shooting. I made a joke because that’s one of the most fun parts of this job. Take something that from the average person looks terrible, but make it something much better with how you shoot! It was fun to get the red leaves into some of their photos. It really was a fun time!
These two met back in 2014 when they both were going to school at CWU. They lived in the same dorm together, had a few run ins in the hallways between their classes, but it wasn’t until they went back to school after Christmas break that they started dating. They navigated school together, both working in a school, and even living in a different country when the pandemic started! They ended up coming back to the US when COVID picked up, and have been home since and then got engaged! It’s been a wild ride for them, but I’m so excited to get to celebrate with them next summer at Terra Blanca Winery! It’s going to be a beautiful day!! 😀
I also made the pop champagne….so here’s that! 😀
