This joyful fall engagement session is Ellensburg was SO much fun. The weather has been so nice this fall, and we were planning on heading out the Franklin Falls for their session, but mother nature finally decided to have some fall weather show up this weekend so we had to make a quick change of plans. It was calling for possible snow/rain showers on the pass and cold, and that makes for a pretty miserable photo session, but these two were so great and decided to head further east to meet me! I was happy to learn that Jasmine’s favorite color is yellow, and we had ALL the yellow fall colors with the aspen trees around Mattoon Lake in Ellensburg. It was perfect!
I had the best time getting to know these two! Jasmine just radiates joy, and the two of them together was the sweetest thing! I listened to them tell each other how they met for the first time, and it could belong in any Rom-Com out there-
They were in school at Gonzaga when they were invited to a party. Both of them were supposed to go with a date, but fate would have it that both of their dates would bail and they would end up being tied to each other all night-literally. They spent hours chatting with each other in the kitchen away from the party, and it wasn’t until they were headed home that Jasmine was really wanting to kiss this new boy she spent hours talking to. Fate had one plan, but their friend had another as he tagged along for the walk home from the party. Brad and Jasmine continued talking, but once it got to the point that Brad could go the opposite direction to his house with their friend and Jasmine would walk to hers, Brad decided to walk Jasmine all the way home- but their friend said “I’ll come too!!” Once they got to the house, their friend asked to go inside because he knew the previous tenants and Jasmine gave them a tour. Jasmine thought that their friend would stay back in another room so she could finally kiss Brad, but he was right there the whole time. HA! The night may not have ended as they planned, but that didn’t stop them from seeing each other again. They stayed together through their time at Gonzaga and into a long-distance relationship as Jasmine finished her schooling, and ended up in Seattle just down the street from each other.
They keep each other on their toes with coffee on their back porch, ski dates through winter, hanging out with friends, traveling, trying new restaurants, and working on their house and yard. They are such fun people, and I cannot wait to celebrate with them on their wedding day! It’s going to be a fun one!
