Winter isn’t a time I normally photograph engagement sessions, but these two wanted to get their engagement session at Hood Park shot before the holidays and the beginning of the year so we made it happen! It was sunny and looked warm, but it was pretty chilly. These two handled it all like champs! We had so much fun around Hood Park, and I loved getting to know them better.
These two really like each other, and it was apparent the whole time. They kept sharing the cutest little kisses, and I learned really quickly to not put my cameras down when they thought I was done with a pose because they really started to relax. It is always fun during a session when my clients start to let their guard down and get more relaxed. Sometimes it is more obvious than others, but once the awkwardness wears off, that’s when the magic happens!
Like so many people these days, these two found each other online, and they said it was love at first sight. They say when you know, you know, and these two definitely knew…even if it meant tolerated a terribly cooked tough steak from the restaurant they went to on their first date.
But everything worked out for them, and they ended up going back later to the same restaurant as their first date, and then walked down to the docks nearby and Grant proposed to Fiona.
When I asked them what they like to do with each other, Fiona said “annoying and loving each other…” and if that’s not marriage, I don’t know what is. HA! I cannot wait for their wedding next year!!! It’s going to be such a blast!
You can see another engagement session at Hood Park here!
