This Ellensburg engagement session was such a fun one for me! I have known Clay for years now, and I was excited when Hayley reached out to me to be their wedding photographer! I was Clay’s dad and his wife’s wedding photographer YEARS ago–you can see it here…and we’ll both be grateful for growth. HA! I remember Clay being a little 14 year old kid, and it’s so crazy to see him being a dad, and doing grown-up stuff. Time flies, ya’ll.
When we were planning for their engagement session, we both had our eyes on the weather. If you’ve ever been to Ellensburg in the spring, or anytime at all, you know how crazy the wind can be, but especially in the spring. Ellensburg wind HOWLS, and I was worried we would have to reschedule. If there’s anything worse than rain during a session (it’s really not that bad…) it’s 20-30 mph wind. That happens often in Ellensburg. LUCKILY, with some quick thinking, we were able to come up with a location up Highway 97 that would be more protected from the wind.
These two had one of the CUTEST props for the start of their session- their sweet little boy! He was definitely the star of the show for the first bit. He had me laughing with all his kisses he was giving to his mom and dad. It was the sweetest. Little boys are the BEST!
These two have been together since 2010, have the sweetest little boy together, and are getting married this fall! I’m so excited to get to celebrate with the two of them and their families!
