Last week I gave you some ways to get your groom involved with wedding planning, but this week I wanted to give you 10 things not to do a week before the wedding.

Coming up on your final week before the wedding, there’s a few things that you really shouldn’t do. Planning should be pretty nailed down. Your vendors should be all set for your big day. Everything is organized, and ready, the day just has to come, but here’s a few things that you want to avoid. 😀

Don’t Forget to Break in Your Shoes!

There’s nothing worse than blisters when you’re having to walk from here to there, and then dancing the night away with hurting feet. No thanks!

Don’t Go Tanning

I’m talking in a bed or outside and DEFINITELY no spray tans!!! There’s nothing glamorous about looking like a lobster, or better yet an oompa loompa, on your wedding day. Steer clear of tanning beds, laying out in the sun, spray tans, or self tanner the week before the big day.

Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute To Get Your Nails Done

This one is tricky. You don’t want to wait too long, but you don’t want to do it too soon. One of the worst things is a smudged nail when you’re going to be getting pictures taken with your ring, and those gorgeous flowers. Chances are your nails are going to be in the shot, so get them done a few days before the wedding.

Don’t Experiment with Your Makeup

Now isn’t the time to go changing up your makeup or your face cleanser. The last thing you want to deal with is splotchy skin or a rash from a new product. Wait until the wedding is over, or try it weeks in advance!

Don’t Cut or Color Your Hair

You would think this would be a no-brainer, but it happens all too often. No drastic cuts or colors a week before the wedding. Just hold off you hair ADD for a week, and you’ll be grateful you did. Especially if it doesn’t turn out the way you expect it!

Don’t Play any Contact Sports

Also, another no brainer, girls. But this goes for your grooms too! You don’t need any casts, or cuts or bruises on your wedding day!

Don’t Forget a Balanced Diet

Not only will your skin look great, but you will feel great, and you won’t be bloated. This isn’t the time to start a new diet though. That will just leave you HANGRY.  Nobody wants that.

Don’t Drink Too Much Alcohol

Stick to a one drink limit leading up to the big day. This one kind of plays into your balanced diet. Stick to water and your skin, hair, and attitude will be so much better! And no Hangovers! 😉

Don’t Forget to Sleep

Trust me on this one. The week is going to fly by, your wedding day is going to come and then be gone, and you’ll be EXHAUSTED! Get your rest before it all happens!!

Don’t Stress About the Little Things

You’re hired your vendors for a reason, and they are there to make your life easier. Trust them that they are going to do their part, and enjoy what will be one of the happiest days of your life! 😀

Can you think of something I missed? What other things had you been sure to do before your wedding?!

Yes to all of these! Had a bride a few years back spray tan the week of her wedding and she was orange. Such great tips!
