You give me a stunning couple, some snow, a tulle skirt, a huge flowy gorgeous bouquet, and you’ll get a magic winter styled couple shoot!! A few months back when I was at Showit United, I met this awesome girl named Maci. She was from Basin City, which is only like 45 minutes from where I live, and 30 minutes from where I graduated high school, but somehow we never crossed paths until just last year. She’s also cousin to one of my best friends, Karalee! She’s an AMAZING photographer, and we got this crazy idea to do a styled winter shoot when she was going to be in town again! We started planning what our models would wear, what the flowers would be like, our locations, and before we knew it, it was time to seek out some models!!!

Initially, we wanted to trek all the way down to the base of Palouse Falls! We had this epic idea, but mother nature had other plans for us, and she decided to DUMP snow in our area for what felt like weeks. After dealing with snow and ice, ice and snow, then a bit more snow, we decided that it probably wouldn’t be the best idea to try to trek down to the base of the falls, but that we should start thinking of other locations. That was kind of the last piece to the puzzle, and I think where we chose was great, those we definitely still want to shoot down at Palouse Falls, just maybe when there’s a little less snow. 😉

Because of our initial, rather adventurous idea, I knew we had to find some models that were up for the challenge. Immediately, I thought of Hans and Brittany. When it comes to finding model couples, it can be tough, especially when you want to do the shoot DURING the week! Most guys don’t want to take time off work JUST to go take some silly pictures, but fortunately for us, Hans and Brittany farm apples, and were both able to make it happen for us!

It was fun to spend time with them, and they were total troopers through it all!!! It was cold, but they helped keep each other warm! 🙂 Thanks, you two for being so great! And thank you to Maci and Rachel for finding locations for the shoot! It was a blast, and I can’t wait to do it again! 😀
