Growing up, I was never really around babies. I was the baby of the family, and my older sisters started to have babies when I was more interested in sports and boys. It wasn’t until after I had my own baby that I started to like holding babies. HA! I was always so worried that I was going to break them, but the more and more I have done newborn photography, the more I realized it’s not THAT scary. Now it’s getting more fun for me to be able to spend time with them, and it’s always a plus when they’re sleepy! This little girl put up a good fight for me, though! She wanted to just eat and eat when I first got to their house. We would think we got her to sleep, I would move to lay her down, and then she’d start rooting again, and find her hand to suck on. Silly babies.
I always feel for my new sleep-deprived mommas. I vaguely remember those first few weeks having Raylee home! I think I blocked all those sleepless nights out of my memory. I think naturally our bodies do that so that we can have more children later, otherwise we wouldn’t want to keep having them. I love to snuggle these little ones, and then be able to go home and sleep at night. 😛 This little baby girl was born on the 10th of this month, at 9:22 AM, weighing in at 7 lbs 7 oz! She got to meet her older sister not too long after, and from the looks of things, she’s going to be a great one! I loved spending time with this sweet family again! If you didn’t see this family’s maternity session just a few weeks ago, you can check that out here!
But here she is, Guinevere – 5 days new!
