Since I have been focusing mostly on wedding and portrait photography, I don’t get to shoot as much newborn photography as I used to. I feel like I was shooting them fairly often for a while there. Maybe it was because all of my friends had babies all around the same time, and now they’re not, or something like that, but I just don’t get to snuggle them as often.

Long story short, everyone thought his momma and I were twins back in high school. It was a pretty often occurrence that we got asked if we were. Fast-forward a few years, and just last year I was able to photograph her gorgeous wedding to Brian! It was a beautiful wedding, and I just loved everything about it. You can see that one HERE!

I was so excited when I found out that Mackie and Brian were pregnant that I could hardly contain myself. Me and Mackie talked about making sure we documented their sweet baby boy, and I’m glad it worked out that I had the time to do it!

Baby Kasen was born April 5th at 11:18 PM. He was 7 lbs-10 ounces, and 20 1-4 inches long! And perfect!

He was such a sweet baby during our session. I told Mackie that he was easily one of the easiest baby models I have ever worked with. Between wrapping and unwrapping him for the next set, he was sound asleep! We got the session done in record time for me (about 2 1/2 hours), and I just loved how they turned out. SO without further ado.
