This last Mondays are for Marriage post is all about the center of it all- Love!
Love
It’s the reason you stuck with that boy who took you on a lame first date. It’s the reason you said yes when he proposed. It’s the reason that you said “I do!” in front of all your family in friends. Without love, you don’t have any reason to be married. Love can mean an assortment to things to different people! If you have ever read “5 love languages” (if you haven’t you should!) then you might have a good idea of how you feel loved. For me, quality time and acts of service is how I feel most loved. For my husband, it’s quality time and physical touch. Since I know that, I try to make sure and show him that I love him. When he gets home from work, instead of jumping back onto my computer because my baby is finally asleep, I’ll spend a few minutes with him on the couch watching one of our favorite shows. I make sure to hug him when he gets home, and kiss him goodbye.
I really believe that knowing your own love language is KEY to a relationship. If you don’t know what makes YOU feel loved, then how can you show it to your significant other!?
So here’s my test for you! Make your way over to 5 love languages.com and take the quiz to find out yours! And then comment what they are here!
It’s even better if you can get your spouse to do the same! 😀
