Ian & Sarah’s country engagement photos were so fun to shoot. These two are so easy going and laid back, they were meant for each other.
The Beginning
Sarah and Ian met through her sister at a barbeque. Their first date was to go see the movie Zero Dark Thirty, but their worst (and possibly best date according to Sarah) was a hike to Red Top mountain up to the fire watch tower. They took the wrong trail, which was the longest way around “through complete wilderness” as Sarah puts it. There was barely a trail, but they made it to the top, and the beautiful view made up for it, a little! BUT, then it started pouring down rain and they had to run all the way back, through the wilderness, and the barely-there trail. Soaking wet, halfway through the hike down, Sarah turned to look at him, soaked to the bone and started to laugh. Sarah knew she loved him right then. She knew he was the one when her daughter, Kylie, fell in love with him too. One week he was off traveling for work, and her daughter looked up at her one night with a sad face and said “i miss Mian (Ian in Kylie launguage.”
Country Engagement Photo Session
Adorable, right!? These two were a blast to work with and Sarah thought of using her Granny’s cabin in the hills for their engagements. It was a super windy day (surprise, suprise! It’s Ellensburg!), but luckily, her granny’s cabin is kind of blocked off from it, and it’s GORGEOUS! They have a little inlet from a stream, and they have stocked it with trout so after we got some pictures with Kylie, she got to feed the fish with Grandpa. Pretty cool stuff! We had to take some photos of Ian and Sarah in their football team’s jerseys too. You see, Ian likes the Vikings (booo!) and Sarah likes the SeaHawks (Go Hawks!). That was a pretty fun part too. Anywho.
These two’s wedding is going to be a blast in July. I just can’t wait!!
The future Mr. & Mrs. McDonald!
