Happy Father’s Day!!!
I know I’m a day late, but I couldn’t NOT post a post about some of my favorite guys on the planet today. I love Father’s day every year because it’s a day I get to remember all the amazing dads in my life.
First off: my Pa!
Me and my had kind of a rocky past. I always ended up doing what he told me not to. We’re both about as hard-headed as they come, and my teenage years, I was a bit of a challenge. I’m grateful that my daddy never gave up on me, make me pitch to him for HOURS and HOURS during the off season of softball, and showed me how to work hard, change my own oil, and create my love for motorcycles so long ago.
We’ve always been riding buddies! Our bikes may have gotten bigger, and a tad more powerful, but I’ve always loved riding with him.
Raylee loves him ALMOST as much as I do, and she’s almost more than happy to go see her Papa!
There’s about a zillion more motorcycles photos where that came from. It’s so surreal to me that he’ll be retiring from education this year, but I’m grateful that might give us a bit more time to go ride! đ Love you Pa!
Next on the docket: My hubby!
Where do I even start. He doesn’t only put up with me, but Justin is the best dad to Raylee, too. She’s just like me in the wrong ways, and we both drive him crazy, but he loves us anyways. and treats us like queens! Well, me like queen, and Raylee like princess….because she is a princess. đ
People always say that they thought they loved their husbands, and then they had kids and loved them even more. Well, that’s true. So yeah.
Justin, thank for being the best dad to Raylee. Most of the time you are more patient with her, and she loves you SO dang much. We just wish we got to see you more in the summer. WE LOOOOOOVE you most!
NEXT: My father-in-law
There’s so many great things I could say about my father-in-law. He’s a hard working entrepreneur/farmer, and one of the kindest people you’ll meet. I give him a hard time because he likes to weigh everything in a recipe, but he takes it in stride, and then makes fun of me right back for putting ketchup on my tacos. He’s so compassionate towards my mother-in-law, and is just one tough guy. With everything they have been going through with my mother-in-law’s chemo and radiation treatments for her brain tumor, you would never guess it from how kind and giving he is to those around him. I’m so grateful that he raised my hubby to be a hard worker, to not give up when things get challenging, and being the best Papa for Raylee Jo.
There’s so many other amazing dad’s in my life that I feel like I could make this post go on and on, but we don’t have that much time. I’m thankful for my brothers-in-law and the great examples of dad’s they are to my hubby! They’re like the brothers I never had! I know I’m forgetting some, but I just want to say THANK YOU to all you dad’s out there! It’s a hard job, and you guys do it great!!
