West Richland Engagement Session Emerald Cut Engagement Ring

Glowing fall light, a gorgeous couple, a horse, a super cute little girl, and two crazy dogs….that’s just a little snippet of these awesome country engagement photos.

I actually reached out to Travis a few months ago when I found out he and Krissy were engaged about the possibilities of being their wedding photographer! I have known Travis for years now (he’s actually one of my brother’s-in-law very good friends), and I was so excited for him that I knew I just had to be a part of their special day!

How they Met

Travis and Krissy met when they were out with friends one night at the Pub. They started spending more and more time together and the rest is history.  They have a great friendship, have a ton of fun together, and you can tell they love each other so much.

The proposal happened at the Sweet Pepper Ranch in Nampa, Idaho. Krissy’s horse, Captain, was in the background, and they were on their way back, when Travis asked Krissy to spend the rest of their lives together. Of course she said yes.

The Engagement Session

I knew their engagement session was going to be great, but I knew it was going to be a little crazy, too. Krissy told me that they wanted to include her horse and their two dogs, Max and Molly. They are pretty hyper labs, and still puppies, and I knew that it may be difficult to keep them on task. They enjoyed playing fetch during the session, but we finally got them sitting and -sort of- staying at least for a few shots, but Krissy’s horse Captain stole the show! He was a great model, as was her daughter.

We had a great time together, and got some amazing shots with some fabulous lighting to end the evening. OH, and it was Travis’ birthday!! He was such a good sport taking pictures on his birthday, and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next fall! It’s going to be just as awesome! 😀
