This Bellevue engagement session was so much fun. These two are getting married this Saturday, but we met up to do their bridals and then their engagement session before-hand for timing purposes! We have a ferry to catch their wedding day, and we wanted to make sure we have plenty of time to get on there! :P. We met at the Seattle Temple for their bridals, but not shortly after we started, we got booted off the grounds because the gates were closing. That was a little bit of a disappointment, but these two were troopers and went through basically a normal session is 5 minutes!! We got so many great images in a super short amount of time, but then we had more time outside the gate for their engagement session! It was pretty clear to me how much these two love each other in a short amount of time.
I sent Connie a questionnaire to get to know them better so I’ll let them take over this next part. Q & A style!
Q: Where and how did you meet?
A: From Connie- We met once for the first time, at a single adult fireside hosted at the Seattle Temple Stake Center. Then again at a single adult family camp-out at Ensign Ranch in Cle Elum. Nate was sitting at a picnic table alone away from the main eating area. I recognized him from our first meeting 6 months earlier and thought he was “just my type”! My friends and I were looking for an open table to eat at so I suggested Nate’s table. We all went and asked to sit with him. From there my group of friends starting up a conversation with Nate and he agreed to hang out with us throughout the weekend. The rest is history.
Q: How did he propose!?!
A: From Nate- I planned a trip to ocean shores for an upcoming weekend. It was a rainy cool weekend. After arriving at our beachfront hotel, there was a break in the storm and the sun came out. So we decided to walk on the beach while the weather was nice. We both love to look for cool rocks, shells, and sand dollars. As we were combing the sandy beach for treasures, I had picked up a few nice rocks but she hadn’t picked anything up yet. While she was facing away looking for her own, I asked “have you found any rocks yet?” She turned and said “no I haven’t.” While getting down on one knee I responded “well I’ve found a pretty good rock for you, if you’ll be my forever.” She turned to make a smart remark and that’s when I asked if she’d marry me. She smiled and said “are you serious?” She snatched the ring out of my hand and said “yeah of course!” We continued to walk along the beach hand in hand. Hers a little more sparkly than before.
And let me tell ya, is it ever?! Her ring is beautiful!! I’m so excited to get to spend this weekend with them celebrating their special day, and can hardly wait! I’ll be keeping their bridals to myself for now, but here’s a peak at their engagement photos! 🙂
