I have had friends get married at this venue, but I was so excited to get out there and be a part of this American Homestead Wedding!! Nikkie and I work at the same dental office, and I just love her! I was honored when she asked me if I would be her wedding photographer. She was the most gorgeous bride, and Bailey is a lucky man! 🙂
Their day was full of stories of how they first met, their tenacity for life, and happy tears! It was such a fun day!
Any daddy/daughter first look is one of my favorite parts of the day, and when the dads are so proud of their baby girl, it makes it even more so. I love that Nikkie wanted to do one with her dad before her first look with Bailey. It was complete with the sweetest gifts for her dad for the day-which were very well-used. 🙂
Nikkie also gave her mom a hankie to dry her tears for the day- cue the tears again.
We hid Nikkie away again and got Bailey for their first look. I had asked Nikkie during the week if she thought Bailey would cry on their wedding day, and she wasn’t sure he would…but he definitely did. When they saw each other, you could practically see the nerves wash away once they were finally with their best friend.
I really love blue bridesmaids dresses, and Nikkie’s bridesmaids all looked so beautiful. I’m also a huge fan of navy suits with brown shoes, and the groomsmen looked great as well!
The wedding ceremony location at American Homestead is so gorgeous overlooking the Chinook Pass valley towards Yakima. It was so beautiful! When you add the beautiful promises these two made to each other during the ceremony- it was no wonder there were so many tears flowing during the ceremony. A beautiful ceremony for beautiful people.
After their ceremony, it was time to party! Their friends and families had some fun toasts full of memories of them and stories to celebrate the two of them together. These two are surrounded by people that love them, and it’s obvious how much they care and love for each other.
Before the day was over, I snuck these two away from their party for some final sunset portraits. I love to do this because the stress of the day is gone, and they just get to be alone with each other for a moment to enjoy being married.
Congrats Bailey and Nikkie- have the best time on your honeymoon!! I can’t wait to see pictures! 🙂 Thanks for letting me be a part of it!
