This adorable farm wedding in Zillah, WA was the perfect way to start my 2018 season! I’ve been anticipating this one for some time, and it all came together SO great!! Ethan and Makaela, as well as their families are the sweetest people known to man! I just love ’em! This was one of those “the stars aligned” kind of things, how they found me. I had worked with J.M. Hunter on Makaela’s best friend, Hailey’s, wedding a few years back! She was the sweetest maid of honor, and I was SO exciting when her inquiry showed up in my inbox about a year ago. She has been the sweetest bride through the entire process, including giving me the cutest onesie for little baby Jackson. She’s THE BEST, and Ethan is no different. It’s no doubt that these two are meant to be.
I loved every little detail of their wedding, and it was obvious how much thought was put into all of it! Makaela’s family had put a TON of time into making the farm into the perfect little wedding site! The white tent was lined by apple bins to help keep the wind at bay, along with a beautiful arbor for the ceremony. I could hardly believe the transformation!
I got to warm up for the day alongside Makaela and all her sweet bridesmaids, and her bridal details!! I had seen her wedding cowboy boots before, and fell in love with them all over again when I saw them. Her wedding dress was BEAUTIFUL, and looked even better on than on the hanger. Makaela also had Ethan’s cuff links engraved with “I love you….” on one side, and “always…5-19-18.” Seriously you guys, these two thought of EVERYTHING!! 😀 An adorable first look, antlers in the bouquet, and the prettiest dusty blue bridesmaids dresses were just a few other pieces that I loved from the day.
During their ceremony, Makaela rode in with her dad in her late grandfather’s ’55 Tiffany blue Ford, just like any princess would! Being a daddy’s girl myself, I especially loved the patch that was hand stitched into her dad’s tie that read “I loved you first” with a picture of a fishing trip they had taken when she was little. You bet your backside I got teary eyed when they had their father/daughter dance to Just Fishin’ by Trace Adkins.
Ethan and Makaela, your love has thrived through long distance, tough times, and hard work. I’m consistently impressed by your dedication to each other, and that you go out of your way for each other. I loved being a part of your wedding day, and getting to know you guys through the process! I’m so excited to watch you guys grow through this next chapter of life, and see what life brings you!! Thank you for letting me get to celebrate such an special day with you! 🙂
