So it’s your big wedding day!! You have your hair done, makeup perfect, dress, shoes, and everything else, right!?

You hope!?

I know what it’s like to be a bride on her wedding day. You want EVERYTHING to be perfect, but SOMEHOW you managed to forget the little things, or maybe something you never even thought that you would need! No worries. I’ll help you put together this bridal emergency kit for my brides to help ease some stress on their big day.

I started of thinking of things that I could have needed on my wedding day, and it ended up this giant list, and I’m so happy to share!

Seeing that i’m a semi-retired dental assistant, the FIRST thing I thought of was a toothbrush, and toothpaste, AND floss sticks. You would be surprised how much a camera can pick up, and dirty teeth is definitely one of those! I always remind my clients to brush before a session or on their big day before photos. And nobody wants to kiss someone that still has gross morning breath (AKA dragon breath in our house).

Next, I thought I would want something to wash my face quickly, just in case my makeup didn’t end up just how I would have wanted it.

I always have hand sanitizer with me, no matter what.

Deodorant because no one wants to be stinky, and somehow that’s ALWAYS something I forget! I’ll put it on, but if I’m traveling anywhere, somehow I always seem to forget to bring it with me. All the weddings I’ve shot, there’s at least ONE person needing to borrow deodorant.

And yes, that’s a TicTac case with bobby pins. Those suckers disappear because the bobby pin monster comes and eats them. You can never have too many!

And some q-tips, because they can be used to clean out your ears, or fix up some makeup, or rogue nail polish, whatever!

No matter what shoes I seem to wear, I always get blisters, unless it’s my cowboy boots. Blister “bandaids” to save the day!! And regular bandaids. And a lint roller.

Do you guys remember the Snickers commercial “you’re not you when your hungry!” Well, you’re not! Well, at least I’m not. I threw in a Clif bar because they always seem to give the extra “oomf” to keep moving, and CHOCOLATE!!! Chocolate doesn’t even need an explanation!

Last but not least, I also threw in a Tide pen. Good for getting stains out in a pinch (I know my wedding dress still has a makeup stain on it, 4 years later, i should probably get that dry cleaned. :S) A sewing kit, because you never know when a button will pop off at a moments notice! Kleenex. Let’s face it, it’s your wedding day! Bert’s Bees chap-stick, because it’s the best, period.  Ice breakers–this one falls into the “no one wants to kiss you with smelly breath” category. And safety pins because not everybody knows how to sew. (HA!)

I’m sure there’s a zillion more things that I could add to my list, but then I’d end up with a duffel bag full of “just in case” items. These were just a few that i can hope make my bride’s big day go off with out a hitch!

What are your ideas!? What do you have with you on wedding days!?
