The Shoot and Share Photo Contest is something that I continue to look forward to every year. It’s a free/fair contest that is always SO dang fun to be a part of! You can see my years past here, and here.

Just like years past, I’m always excited to see how my images fair and it always surprises me which ones make it as far as they do. During the contest, you can “favorite” images from others that you really love, and one thing that is interesting to me is the images that I seem to favorite are the ones that win the thing! That probably means something. 😛

I was happy to see so many of my images make it pretty far in this years contest. I didn’t have any make it to the top 100 in a category, but I got pretty close! I figured I’d break it down to category and let you know which ones made it the furthest this year.

Like always, I have to thank my clients for being so dang awesome, and letting me create this images. Without them, I wouldn’t get to be a part of cool contests like this. 🙂

Finalists

I had five finalists in three different categories this year: That just happened, styled wedding, and wedding details. It made me so happy that these photos made it as far as they did-the first just 3 votes shy from making it to the top 100- for obvious reasons. HA!

Top 10%

I have 4 images make it in the top 10% of images in two categories: wedding details and wedding couple. Armin and Kendall stole the show in this category. 🙂

Top 20% and Top 30%

I had 8 images in the top 20% of images in the contest, and 11 in the top 30%. What an awesome year!!! 😀

I went all in and submitted the full 50 images like I do every year, and I’m always happy when I get more and more images to make it further in the contest. This year was better than years prior and I’m excited to see what I can do in next years contest!
