Sometimes I think we take ourselves too seriously. When we’re business owners, we have to be professional, but fun. Serious, but playful. Honest, but maybe a little rebellious.  It’s hard to truly let yourself go when you worry about what it may do to other’s views of your business or maybe even just you in general.

I try not to do this. Like, ever. I might be a little too sarcastic. Maybe a little too silly when I should be serious. I get awkward in serious situations, and I laugh when i’m in awkward positions. Shooting my promo video was NOT something that was out of my comfort zone necessarily, but I was worried what would come from it. One thing that I was WAY excited for was my promo video blooper reel! Maybe it’s just me, but I think i’m pretty funny most of the time. Yup! I’m one of those people that laugh at their own jokes. Obviously, if I didn’t think it was funny, I probably wouldn’t say it! If you ask my husband, he’ll just tell you I’m a weirdo. If you ask a few past brides, they’ll tell you that I should have been the entertainment for the night. If you ask my family, they may tell you that I’m the silliest (or just immature. HA!)

I do know how to be serious. And I do know how to be professional. But I also know that we can’t take things too seriously. And I think that’s why I love this so much.
