I’m sure it’s not a surprise to every one that 2020 has been a freakin’ year, but there has been some good to come out of it. I’ve gotten to shoot weddings that I normally wouldn’t have been able to and that was definitely true for this beautiful Oregon farm wedding. I first talked to Becky on the phone just a little more than a month ago, and she seemed like the sweetest, most easy-going bride, and when I met her on Saturday I knew that was true. She was so sweet and always asking ME if i needed anything. Her and Kiley’s families were so kind and welcomed me in like I was one of their own. Becky’s mother and friends put in SO MUCH WORK to transform their home into the cutest little wedding venue. It was perfect.
They vowed their love to each at Becky’s families ranch overlooking the smokey wheat fields (thanks wildfires). The smoke did bring an added effect to the photos that made it feel more fall-ish than it really is. And it all started at a business dinner. Becky was there representing the ranch, and Kiley was there representing his company. She instantly fell in love with his AMAZING handlebar mustache. As Becky put it, they had a “whirlwind romance through 2020-we kind of know what we’re doing, so why not [get married]. When you know you know. He is a genuine cowboy, and I am a genuine book-loving farm girl, and we WORK.”
Do they ever. It’s always fun to me to get to watch people in love, and it’s pretty apparent that these two are. Kiley adores Becky, and it’s the sweetest dang thing.
Kiley and Becky- I’m honored I got to celebrate with you guys and your families this weekend. Thank you for being so sweet and kind, and I’m excited for this next adventure for you!! Congratulations!!!!
