This Eastmont High School senior session was so much fun! I love this girls funky fashion, and happy attitude. We had fun laughing about me almost falling walking in the rocks, and had a pretty great adventure in the process of these photos.

The Senior

During out session, Velyna told me how she’s jumped from schools throughout her life between East Wenatchee and Wenatchee. She had to leave some friends behind in the process, but has been able to find some good ones with her final year at Eastmont. Being a girl that moved her junior year of high school, I could really appreciate that struggle. It’s tough having to go to a different school later in your life. New friends, new teachers, new struggles. It can be pretty overwhelming, but Velyna doesn’t seem to be letting it get to her though!

She was pretty surprised when one day her mom told her that she had her senior photos scheduled. She hadn’t even thought about it with all the craziness of starting her senior year, until one of her friends had asked if she was getting them done soon. Senior year can be so crazy, and this totally didn’t surprise me! Luckily, her mom had asked me just in time, and I had a few days that I could head up to Wenatchee for the session.

Leavenworth in the Fall

We headed up past Leavenworth to the Tumwater bridge and trail. I can’t believe how gorgeous it is up there! With all the trees changing colors, it definitely feels like fall up there. I was a little worried as we were driving through Leavenworth because the trees in town have already started to lose a lot of their leaves. Then I remember how much cooler it is up there than home, and was pleasantly surprised when there was plenty of leaves on the trees at our location. We started down by the river, then headed up to the bridge, then Velyna was a great sport and agreed to climb some rocks for me! I don’t remember in doing that in Tieks. They’re definitely not the sturdiest hiking shoes, that’s for sure.

Future Plans

Velyna isn’t exactly sure what she will be doing after high school, but she really wants to travel! She’s ready to go on an adventure! Whatever she decides, I’m sure she is going to have a blast doing it!
