It was especially exciting for me to shoot this desert engagement session!! This spot might look a little familiar from a few weeks ago!! I had initially planned to shoot with these two around Ellensburg, but thanks to some lovely 20-30 mph winds, we switched out location the morning of the shoot. We headed to the Frenchman Coulee outside of Vantage (remember it from here?!) and got to explore a little more of the area as we tried to hide from the wind. We had a great time!
This was so fun for me to shoot because I’ve known Lindsey since she was 9!!! Her dad is the dentist that I’ve worked for years with, and it’s been SO fun to watch her grow into a beautiful young lady! She’s bubbly, energetic, and fun, so naturally we get along REAL well. HA! It was pretty obvious to me that her and Regan are in love and excited to be married, and I couldn’t be more happy for the two of them!
They may be from areas close to each other- Lindsey from Ellensburg and Regan from Royal City- but they didn’t meet around here. They met while they were both at school at BYU-Idaho. Just another little reminder how small of a world it is.
Leading up to their proposal, I got the insider scoop with Lindsey working at the dental office this summer. I remember at one point her talking about possibly seeing the ring, and she was talking about how Regan and her dad kept having these meetings. She kept thinking that her dad just loved Regan more than her (ha!), but I had a pretty idea what was happening during those meetings. For weeks, her dad and brother, and now Regan were working to complete a super cute gazebo being their house, and it would be there that Regan would line the walkway with twinkle lights and walk her down to ask her to spend eternity with him.
Regan and Lindsey! Thanks for braving the crazy weather with me, and being down for a little adventure. I’m sad that you’re leaving to go back to school, but know that someday you’ll be back and just live over the mountain from me–even if it is In Royal. 😛
