I loved this Columbia River Engagement Session!

One thing that I love is when I get to work with siblings of previous clients, but it makes it even better when I get to photograph people that I have known for years. Garrett is the youngest brother to one of my previous clients (see Travis and Ariana’s beautiful wedding here!)and my husband’s best childhood friend, so needless to say, I’ve known him a long time! I remember about a year ago, Jaycee and I were messaging on Instagram when I was hinting at the possibilities of retiring from weddings, and she made a comment that she hoped I wasn’t retired by the time that she was getting married. I assured her that I would come out of retirement for her, but luckily for her (and me..ha!), there is none of that going on yet, and she and Garrett got engaged this January.

They knew they wanted to get their engagement photos done as soon as possible to send out save the dates, and we got SO lucky with the weather this January. We had almost 50 degrees, and the water was glass up at Vantage. We trekked around the cliffs by Vantage and had some time to catch up. These two weren’t strangers to being in front of a camera, but they made my job SO easy, and I cannot wait for their wedding this September.
