Last year, almost exactly this same time, I was taking senior photos. Lucky for me, I get to do the same thing this year for the Class of 2021. If you saw last year, I took photos of Annaleece’s brother [see them here], so I super stoked when Robyn reached out to me again for another round of senior photos. This time it was with her stepdaughter, and I got even more excited.
Don’t get me wrong, senior boys are fun but it’s easy. Senior girls I feel like I have way more creativity with, and their outfits are generally cuter. HA!
Annaleece is a senior at Chiawana, and while her senior session may not be exactly what she expected, she’s making the most of it. The day after our shoot, her and some friends were planning a “homecoming” dance because their original had to be canceled due to COVID. She even told me that a girl in their grade had planned another one that ALSO got cancelled. They finally were able to make it happen somehow, and her and her friends had something to be excited about.
Our shoot may have started a little rocky, pun intended [there were rocks everywhere], and some creepy old men, but my favorite part was when we first started and she asked me if I was going to tell her what to do. I laughed and joked about how I was just going to stand there and not say anything like how it was when I took my senior photos, but YOU GUYS!! I’m convinced this girl is a model in her spare time. She eventually told me that her and her friends go out and do photo shoots together with their phones and it totally paid off. HA! She made my job so dang easy, and I loved everything we got. We had the best time!
Congrats Annaleece!!! So excited to see where life takes you!!
