This Wallula Gap engagement session may have been my coldest one of the year, but you would have never guessed by the way these two crushed it!! I was so excited to head back to the Twin Sisters for Melic and Ashley’s engagement session, but was a little nervous for the weather we were going to get. For about 2 weeks, it called for possible snow/rain mix the weekend of their session. As we crossed of the days on the calendar, the weather improved, but it was still going to be a chilly one. I checked and weather the day before, and the snow forecast was gone, but it was still going to be cold. These two rocked it though! We took a few breaks towards to end to help keep Ashley warm, but they braved the weather and I think it was worth it to get some yummy golden light- always worth it for that.
These two have known each other for a long time. They went to high school together, transferring in at the same time. They sat together through classes, and got to know each other better while they were in school. After graduation, Melic went to play baseball in Minnesota (brrr!). They knew it was going to be hard long distance, but that it would be worth it. He came home early due to an injury. and that was bitter sweet. Even though he was done playing baseball, they got to be back home together.
Melic proposed to Ashley in the sweetest way. They had many talks through their relationship about their future plans, but one particular day it was different. They were talking and joking around as always, but then Melic stopped walking. He starting telling Ashley how much she meant to him and what he thought their future looked like- I think you can guess the rest. He asked her to marry him, she said yes, and now we’re here.
Through the cold and all my cheesy jokes, these two did such a great job during their session!! I’m so excited to get to celebrate with them this winter!!
