I always love when my couples add a little something special to their sessions, and that couldn’t have been more true with this Richland engagement session at Chamna Natural Reserve this past weekend! I loved getting to meet these two and learn more about their relationship, as well as what they love to do! The piece they added that was special to them was their second outfits! These two both love cheering for WSU and spend a lot of their time tailgating and celebrating Coug wins (like the one this weekend!), and I loved that they chose to rep their favorite school/team.
It all started thanks to some ski friends in Walla Walla, and a game of shuffleboard. Or really, Zac teaching Lauryn how to play shuffleboard. They hit it off the first time hanging out, and the rest is history! Lauryn is an RN, and Zac is working towards getting his EMT certifications, and so naturally, I’m officially jealous of their career paths. They both have worked doing ski-patrol and being on the mountain has been a high point (pun intended) of their relationship. Even their proposal happened on the mountain! How cute is that?!
They took a snowmobile up to the top of the mountain past the chairlift. When I had Zac tell the story, he joked about how hard he struggled getting the ring out to ask her and was trying to keep her from turning around to figure it out. Luckily, he was able to maneuver without her figuring it out, and he asked her to be his wife.
She said “REALLY?” (I chuckled at that…) and then a resounding “yes!” Then they made their way back down the mountain to celebrate with champagne and their other ski patrol pals on shift. SO FUN!
These two are literally SO sweet, and I couldn’t stop laughing the whole time. They are so fun, and laughed at my stupid jokes. I love anyone that laughs at my stupid jokes. I’m really not surprised that they enjoy helping others, and I’m so excited to get to know them more, and celebrate with them next June!! It’s going to be a fun one!
