5 Creative Something Borrowed Items for Brides
You may start to notice if you’ve been reading the series that these something borrowed may be similar to the something old items, but generally speaking, something you borrow is going to be older! 😀 Something borrowed stands for borrowing happiness, and there’s nothing better than borrowing from someone who’s marriage you admire and hope to be like over the years.
1. One of the most common ways to incorporate “something borrowed” is the brides wedding attire. This could be your mother’s or grandmother’s wedding dress or veil. You could always just use a portion of the dress, like the lace or beading of the dress have something made just for your special day!
2. Something a little different for your something borrowed could be your grandmother’s china! Use those vintage plates or flatware to add personal touches to your special day.
3. Your Something borrowed item doesn’t have to be something tangible. Even using a first dance song to someone close to you! It will show them how their marriage inspires you, and will remind them of their very own wedding day!
4. Jewelry from a friend of family member is always a great item to use as your something borrowed. You can be creative with it! Instead of just wearing your grandmother’s brooch, you can add a few to your bouquet!
5. This tradition doesn’t have to be just for the bride! Your groom could also wear something borrowed! Cufflinks, or a watch of someone close to him! Anything goes! 😀
Married already? What did you choose for your something borrowed item? Getting married? What are you planning on using?!
