This Leavenworth Engagement session was definitely one of best!! It might have been a little cloudy, and just a touchy chilly, but these two kept each other laughing, and we had a great time!

I knew from the first Facetime session I had with Terri that we were going to get along great! We talked all about how they met, their families, even down to Dana’s love affair with Land Rovers. We laughed a ton, talked a lot, and I felt like we would make the perfect match for their wedding day! After our session on this day, I know that my intuition wasn’t wrong!

These two are from North Bend, but it was spring break for them this week! Just last week, Terri let me know that they would be making the trek over to Leavenworth for a short vacation, and was curious if there was any chance we could make their engagement session happen then! I didn’t have anything on the schedule the beginning of this week, and I figured this would be our one shot for a while to get it done, so we made it happen.

Bless these two’s hearts, because they were even okay when I told them that because it was during the week, I would probably have to bring Raylee with me. I have the HARDEST time finding a babysitter during the week since all mine are either in high school, or working during the week.  Raylee got to spend the time throwing rocks into the river, and playing in the mud with the kids (which she LOOOOOVED), and the three of us got to laugh as I made them play silly games! 🙂

When I asked about how these two met during our first Facetime session, Terri told me all about how they first met 20 years in public accounting. They worked at the same firm and became friends from the get-g0! Terri told me “something just drew him to me as a friend! He was a good ol’ country boy, and had an incredible work ethic. Mostly, it was that he was a get-stuff-done kinda guy. I loved that!” They went through a lot of crazy things over the last 20 years, but their friendship stayed true, and ended up turning into much more!  If there was one thing I could see from our short time together it was that Dana may not LOVE getting his photo taken, but he absolutely loves Terri.

I had a blast with these two, and had an even better time talking to them after our session, and I cannot wait until their wedding this July! I know it’s going to be a great one with lots of country music, plenty of love, and maybe a sweet Land Rover. 😉
