This country engagement session was SO fun to be a part of. I have known Ryan for a pretty long time! He and my husband were pretty good friends, and dang near inseparable a few years after high school. They did some crazy things,(including crazy rides in a non-street legal Suburu) and sometimes I cringe when I think of the stories that I have heard from the two of them. What else is a bromance for, right!?
We were all pretty sad when Ryan made the decision to move over to the west side of the state. Some of us were worried that he wouldn’t have much fun, that he would hate it, and mostly, that it just wouldn’t be the same with him and his dog, Diesel, around. BUT it all turned out pretty great, if you ask me. Ryan loves it over there. He has a great job, good friends, and one day, one of his work friends got an idea to hook Ryan up with his wife’s sister.
At first, Shelby was NOT excited. She even said no at first. My sister’s never tried setting me up with any guys (which I’m pretty grateful for), but if they had, I probably would have said no too. After asking a few times, and pushing her to do it, she finally said yes. After a few years of dating, they decided it was finally time to tie the knot.
Ryan took Shelby out one day, meanwhile her sister’s went to their house and went all out in decorating it! They had a pretty fun day, that ended better than a girl could ask for! Ryan asked Shelby to be his wife.
Obviously she said yes, and that takes us to today.
Ryan and Shelby drove over from the west side to hang out with some friends, and get their engagement session done. They told me they wanted to use Ryan’s ’65 Chevy that he has been fixing up in the photos, and I absolutely LOVED that idea. The only thing I was sad about was that they didn’t bring Diesel, Ryan’s dog. But we had some great weather, some great laughs, and I only almost fell once.
Thanks again Ryan and Shelby! I can’t wait for your wedding next winter! đ
