I can’t even begin to describe how much love was at Brian & Mackenzie’s Simply Country Othello wedding! You can tell these two adore each other, and are each other’s rocks, as well as how much each of their families have welcomed the other in. It’s such a blessing with wedding photography to be able to witness the joining of two families, especially when they do it as seamlessly as Brian and Mackenzie’s. I was so honored to be able to be a part of their special day.
Details
There were so many little details from their wedding, that I couldn’t help but fall in love! From Mackenzie’s GORGEOUS shoes -seriously, i need a pair! To her amazing dress, the rings, and ALL the table center pieces–side note– Mackenzie made/found them herself and with the help of friends– I couldn’t believe how much time and effort they put in to make it truly their own.
So, if you didn’t get to read about Brian and Mackenzie before, check out their engagement post HERE for the backstory! 🙂
My day started out with the guys. So, i showed up to find out Brian had gotten blood on his shirt!!! But have no fear, my handy-dandy wedding day survival kit came in to save the day. We Tide-penned the blood out (IT WAS AMAZING, YA’LL!) and gave Brian a Band-aid to make sure no more blood got on his shirt. The guys laughed and joked with each other, had a heck of a time putting on their suits and tying their ties, and then i left them to drink their frozen beers (ha!) to make my way to the girls.
They were running a little behind, so I took advantage of that time to get some amazing details shots! When I opened Mackenzie’s dress bag, i’m pretty sure i gasped. The beading on her wedding dress, and the little stitched polka dots SCREAMED Mackenzie’s personality. It was perfect!!
After a few hitches, it was finally time for the two love birds to GET MARRIED!!!!
The Ceremony
Mackenzie walked out with her dad, looking beautiful, and you would have never believed that the bride and groom had already done a first look! I have a soft spot in my heart for grooms that get choked up when they REALLY see their bride during the wedding, and Brian did NOT disappoint. They did something during the ceremony that I had never seen done before! Instead of your traditional sand jar or candle, they made their own canvas painting!! Even at their rehearsal dinner, their officiant said she could only find of two others ever doing it! How awesome to be able to have something that you can hang on your walls of your new home and remember your special day forever, along side your wedding pictures of course!
The ceremony was beautiful, the reception was amazing, and at the end of the day, they were married, and we squeezed in some AMAZING sunset photos.
It really was a perfect day!
