Shooting weddings is pretty tough when you are trying to shoot with two camera bodies, with two separate straps, being on your feet all day, and trying to stay sane by the end of it. Welcome, the Holdfast Moneymaker.

Before I had found the Moneymaker, wedding days were kind of a nightmare when it came to straps.  I would find myself tangled in the straps of my two camera bodies, and usually with a lot less hair. My hair would get caught in all the tangles of straps and it left me feeling pretty wore out by the end of the day. I was looking around at different options for multiple camera straps, and found the most popular, like the Black Rapid and a few others, but it wasn’t until I saw the Moneymaker that i was in love.  Made by hand here in the USA. Oklahoma to be exact! The creator, Matt Swaggart, is a genius. He wanted a strap that could not only carry two cameras, but even three, and the Moneymaker was born.  The quality of the leather is amazing, and I never have to worry about my camera “accidentally” falling off. At the end of the strap is a clip, based off the kind of clips used on sail boats. The only way to open it, is to actually open in. No accidents here. The strap distributes the weight of my cameras evenly across my back and shoulders making it so i have little to no lower back pain by the end of a 10 hour wedding day. And it doesn’t only make shooting with two camera bodies easier, it looks awesome.  I’ve gotten so many compliments about my Moneymaker! It makes me feel like i should be carrying 6-shooters instead of cameras. And i love that. 🙂

The Holdfast Moneymaker comes in a handful of different colors and styles. I bought the Water Buffalo Burgundy, but they have everything from Tan Bridle Leather, to Hand-tooled styles, EVEN Genuine Python, if that’s your style. I ended up buying an additional Water Buffalo Black later last year, so i have different options with different outfits, and i have been eye-balling their new American Bison Red. There’s just too many that I want. The struggle is real, ya’ll! 😉
