Best Christmas Gifts for Photographers

This time of year, I know that I struggle to try to figure out what I could want for Christmas! It can be even harder for someone else to figure out what to get a photographer so I wanted to create this list (links included) of the best Christmas gifts for Photographers!!

One of the best items that is needed for any type of photographer is MEMORY! Memory cards for their cameras, hard disks for photos to be edited, more memory to keep things safe and secure. My favorite brand is SanDisk and Amazon always has some great deals right now for all types of memory cards.

Depending on what camera is used, a memory card for the camera is always a needed item for photographers! You would want to double-check to see if your photographer friend needs an SD card, and CF Express card, or any other card they may need. However, most cameras take AT LEAST one SD card! Hot Shoe Mount for a Phone

Many times, as photographers, we would love to have a second shooter for a wedding, but it is not always a possibility. One way to get some behind the scenes action (hello, IG reels!) is to get a hot shoe mount for your phone! A hot shoe is an area on a camera that a flash can be added to a camera! This is also a perfect place to put a phone to get some behind the scenes footage without being obnoxious and stopping to take out your phone, taking the video, putting the phone away. Trust me, it’s a nightmare, and SO hard to do on a busy wedding day! So make it easy for your photographer friend- get this as a Christmas gift for them!

These little lights could be an awesome Christmas gift for a photographer. This little light is one of the handiest thing I have in my bag. If I need a little more light on my subject, but I don’t want to get my flashes, I’ll pull it out and get the shots I need. It has multiple brightness settings, it can show all sorts of different colors, but my personal favorite setting is the different “scene” modes- lighting, siren, fire, and a color changing one. They can give some cool camera effects when used! I really just love it, I think your friend will too!
