It’s always fun for me when I get to stay in town for session, and lucky me, I got to do just that with this Mattawa engagement session. Years and years ago, I moved to Mattawa- a small town in central Washington- from Wyoming, and it just so happened to be the same time an amazing family from Colorado moved to the same said small town. The Gallacci’s had moved for better opportunities here just like us! I remember Jack as a kid (he’s not THAT much younger than me), and now it’s so fun to see him getting ready to get married to Annyssa!
It all started down at BYU-Idaho! They ended up in the same FHE family, and Annyssa noticed that Jack had the same kind of humor as people back home. Annyssa is from New Jersey, and there weren’t a whole lot of people in Idaho with that. She knew that she HAD to get to know this kid. The feeling ended up being mutual, and Jack also wanted to get to know Annyssa. The stars aligned, and some magic happened. These two know the struggles of long distance relationships, but that doesn’t get in the way. They’re adorable together, and we had a blast during their session- even if it was 99 degrees and we were all hot sweaty messes. HA! Oh, and that little sign, Annyssa made it!!! I decided she’s hired for all my crafting needs in the future!
These two got engaged right before the 4th of July! I knew it was happening because Jack had been over at my house the week before hooking me up with some faster internet, and I was asking ALL the questions. Annyssa had NO idea it was happening. She had figured it would happen in the fall sometime when he was going to head out her way. Jack took her up to the mountain just North of Mattawa. There’s some KILLER views of the Mattawa and Royal City slope up there, and it’s hard to beat. While they were up there, Jack popped the question with the most gorgeous ring- a rose gold band with an opal! Its got blue and red and green and yellow, and man guys! It’s dang pretty! Of course she said yes!
Jack and Annyssa, thanks for dying in the heat with me! It was fun to laugh (and sweat it out) with you guys, and I think everyone can thank the heavens that your wedding day will be colder than it was this day. HA! Congrats, guys!!!
