If you missed my first installment of this blog series, The Old Adage goes, then you can check that out here- all about “something old.” Today you get 5 thoughtful something new ideas for brides!
“Something old, something new something borrowed, something blue.” There’s more that adds on. Something about a sixpence of something, but we’re not going into THAT today…
Something new offers optimism for the future, but tends to not get too much attention. It’s probably one of the easiest items to think of because almost everything is new when it comes to the wedding day, but here’s a few more thoughtful ideas for you.
5 Thoughtful Something New Ideas for Brides
1. The Bride’s dress! You spent so much time and thought into finding the perfect dress. It really is the perfect thing to represent your optimism for the future.
2. JEWELRY! There are times when the bride uses her mother’s dress or grandmother’s dress, and in those instances, picking out your jewelry makes it personal for you.
3. Champagne flutes monogrammed with your initials and use them for your toast glasses. (Side note: This is a perfect gift for the maid of honor to have made as a wedding gift!) You can find some great ones on Etsy!
4. Bridal shoes…You can make your ensemble perfect with the perfect shoes! (That doesn’t just work on your wedding day!)
5. In an instance that all of the above are old or borrowed, you could use your flowers! What a better way to signify something new than fresh gorgeous flowers!
These are just a few ideas, but really anything that you buy for the wedding can be considered “something new.”
