This Zintel Canyon engagement session was everything my photographer heart dreams are made of.  But, first off, it’s REALLY hard to keep track of clients when their names are the same, or close to it. Last week, before I went to shoot with Donovan and Julie, I texted Julie to tell her I was there….Or who I thought was Julie. I ended up actually texting Julia and probably giving her a heart attack when I told her that I was there waiting for her! HA! We had a good laugh over our text conversation, and confirmed that we’d see each other the next week! 🙂 Mean joke, Misty. Mean joke. Anyways…

I was so excited to meet these two!! I had just been emailing Julia back and forth since they booked me for their wedding, and I hadn’t actually met them, either on skype/facetime or in person so it was an exciting day! We decided to make their engagement session kind of two parts. They wanted to do some both outdoors, and a few in their home. They spend a lot of time together at home, and I’m SO happy we decided to head there after the outdoor shots. Not only was it nice to not have to worry about weather (because it was about to rain on us), but these two were SO dang cute, and I really got a good feel for their relationship, and how much they love each other.

She’s English. He’s Texan. And thanks to some friends, they met at a get together at her house one night. They hit things off SO well that they never stopped talking after that night. They tend to spend a lot of their time at Julia’s house snuggling on the couch, so it was only fitting that we ended their session there.

I had to laugh when I asked them about Ronnie’s proposal and he said “which one?!” There was one night that Ronnie had planned out to be super romantic, and Julia (unknowingly) cancelled on him. She was changing into a sweater so they could go see her parents, and Ronnie was just too dang excited to wait so her asked her in the closet. BUT then, one night, they were headed to Chandler Reach for a nice dinner. Julia sort of had an idea that something was going down, but never would have guessed how romantic it would be the second time around. She said yes (again), and that brings us to today.

I loved laughing and getting to know these two more during their sessions. We did have a strange moment with a couple in the park that we were at, and a feral cat, and getting asked to move because of the said feral cat, but that’s a story for another day. In the mean time, check out how cute these two are. Oh! And their sweet pup! 🙂
