YOU GUYS! I can’t believe that it’s been 3 years that I’ve had this crazy little girl in my life. Just the other day, I was thinking about where I was three years ago. Still working in the dental office, anticipating the arrival of Raylee, and then I went into the doctor, and that’s when they told me they would be inducing me the next day. I wasn’t sure if I was ready, not just for labor, but to be someone’s MOM! That’s a huge role in someone’s life and there I was, staring down the barrel of it.
We have had quite a bit of fun over the last three years though. Some fun trips, some crazy antics, Raylee saying some of the FUNNIEST things, and definitely some great adventures. We sit around the house a lot, but we never hesitate to take an adventure when we get the chance.
With her talking more and more, I’ve started to document some of the funnier things she says and does. She seriously cracks me up:
One day, we were walking/running down the road and she told me “Mom, I’m like Scotty!!” And I asked if it was because she was so fast, and she said “YEAH! I’m fast like Scotty!” –We watch a lot of motorcycle riding around here, and one of the guys (Scot) is faster than everyone else. When he rides by, Raylee always say “WOAH, Mom! Scotty’s SO fast!”
We were at my In-law’s house for Mother’s Day, and when we were leaving, she went outside and said “here Blitzy! Come here boy!! Woowooooo (like his whistle)”
We went to Twin Falls (WA) on a waterfall adventure, and she walked about 2 miles out of the 4. HARD miles-uphill. On our way home, we were stuck in construction and pretty much stopped. She woke up, saw some cows and horses on the side of the road and wineyed like a horse and then went “MOOO!” and then a few minutes later just fell back asleep.
We were watching Monster’s Inc. and when Sully is getting choked by Randall, Raylee kept going “UGGGH!” Because Mike couldn’t see Randall.
I’m sure most of these moments were funnier because I was there, but she does/says crazy things DAILY, these are just some of the best that I remembered. 🙂
Raylee Jo, I love being your momma. You stress me out in public places because all you want to do is run. You push ALL my buttons, and just when I think I’m at my breaking point, you stare at me with those puppy dog eyes and say “I’m so so sorry mom.” Yeah, i’m a sucker. You’re just like me, and that kind of terrifies me, but I hope as you continue to grow up that you’ll still love me, and (sort of) listen to me when I tell you something is dangerous and you shouldn’t be doing it. You’re brave, probably a little too daring, and the funniest kid I know. I love you most, and your daddy does too. Happy Birthday, sweet girl!!
