Initially for these two love bird’s engagement session, we had planned on going out to Snoqualmie Falls, but since they won’t be able to have their sweet pups at their wedding, we decided to stick a little closer to home for both of us and that led us to this sweet fall engagement session by the river.
I always love shooting down by the river. If you can find a day that the wind isn’t lingering, the lighting is always yummy and gold, and this was one of those days! We had to reschedule their engagement session once because of weather (it rained ALLLLLL day the first day we had scheduled) and we really lucked out on the weather this day. It was so, so good.
These two have quite the story of how they met, and it may or may not involve a certain app that doesn’t have the best rep. They both made profiles on it with the best of intentions, and one day, Jeff swiped right. They ended up meeting at a Mexican restaurant, and Rocio couldn’t believe how many times his sister had called him through the date because she thought he was being murdered by a serial killer. HA! I died when they told me that. They ended up really hitting it off on the date, and never stopped talking after that. When they told me all about how they met, I just laughed because they’re, I think, my 3rd or 4th couple for 2018 that has met thanks to that specific app. Too funny.
During their session we talked a bit about their jobs! They both work in the special ed department at the school, and they love working together. That really says a lot about a couple, I think. The fact that they’re able to problem solve together, and figure out ways to help those kids TOGETHER is just amazing. I’m pretty sure I’d lose my mind if I worked with my hubby, but these two don’t have any issues making it work! 😀
They got engaged while they were at Snoqualmie Falls one weekend which was why they initially wanted to go back for their engagement session. They had gone on a little hike up to Salish Lodge, and once they were at the top, Jeff popped the question! How perfect is that!?
I’m so excited to get to celebrate with these two at the end of next summer on their wedding day! It’s going to be another beautiful day out at Shadow Lake Ranch! 🙂
