Hey there bride-to-be!
Yeah I’m talking to you. I know you’re stressed and trying to plan [one of] the most important days of your life! You haven’t ever thought more about colors, dresses, shoes, ribbons, ties in your entire life! You never realized how much work would go into this whole wedding planning thing. You get everything in order, and then you have to worry about flowers. Yes, flowers. I know that it can be easy to think:
“I’ll just do them myself!”
“I’ve got a friend…”
“Costco has nice flowers!”
or even “Who needs flowers?”
I’ll admit that I was one of those brides. I really didn’t want to spend over $150 dollars on flowers for a day when I knew they were going to die. I GET that! But then I look back and realize I was SO so wrong. We went to Safeway the morning of my wedding, and lucky enough they had the colors I was hoping for. You’ll never guess. I wanted green, white and yellow roses. Now when I look back, I almost cringe, but you have to remember this was before Pinterest really took off.
Here’s my biggest tip for your bridal bouquet. –Don’t be afraid to splurge!
You don’t have to spend all of the money on your wedding flowers. If there’s ONE place that you put your floral budget, I’d recommend putting it into your bridal bouquet. There’s too many times I see my brides say that they wanted to make sure their bridesmaids had pretty flowers too. That’s nice, but they’re not the ones that are front and center the MAJORITY of the day. Your bridal bouquet can be used for details shots, at the end of the ceremony it can transform into your centerpiece, and it really just helps elevate your entire look! And it never hurts to stand out among your bridesmaids! đ It is your big day after all!Â
That said, if you are one of my 2017 or 2018 brides and are still on the hunt for a florist, I’m always MORE than happy to refer you to some of the best!! đ All you need to do is ask!
