It’s hard to believe, I hadn’t ever gone to the Benton Franklin County Fair and Rodeo!

I always went to the Adams County Fair in Othello, and the Grant County fair in Moses Lake, heck, even the Spokane County Fair, but I had never gone to the fair in Tricities. It always just came at a weird time of year, and it wasn’t really something that sounded fun so we never made it that way.

The other night, I really wanted to take Raylee to the fair to see all the 4H animals, because she loves them all almost as much I do. (At one point while we were there, Justin said “we shouldn’t have come…” because I kept saying that I wanted goats, calves, and sheep, and everything else besides the stupid chickens because they freak me out.) We had a pretty fun time walking through all the animal barns, and then of course we had to get some delicious, but oh-s0-bad-for-you fair food. We ended up getting just some burritos and a bacon wrapped hot dog for Raylee. It was really pretty good! I also had to get my annual elephant ear, but decided that the ones from the Adams County Fair are 395783359 times better, and I’d much rather have pig ears with honey butter. If you don’t know what in the world I’m talking about, you’re really missing out!

Raylee loved the animals, though wasn’t too sure about the pigs. They kind of freaked her out, but I don’t know if it was the stench of them, or the size because they were HUGE! She kept calling the goats cows, and then when we finally got to the cows she kept going “BEEEEEEE!” because that’s what she is SURE cows say, even after 2 years of telling her they say “Moo!”  She loved her hot dog, and drank almost an entire strawberry lemonade to herself.

Then she HAD to sit on the tractors, and was pretty upset when we made her get off of it to go home. We did have a very long stay, but it was fun what we did get to see, and I think Raylee enjoyed it. That’s really what we went for, right? Er something like that. 🙂

What was the first of many, I’m sure! But here’s just a few pictures of our fair adventure. Most of the time I was just enjoying her reactions to all the animals. 🙂
