It’s no question that the wedding industry has felt a hard hit with all the COVID-19 regulations. So many wedding days have been postponed and even cancelled leaving this season to look pretty grim for some photographers. I’ve been pretty fortunate to continue booking through this craziness and this intimate farm wedding was one of those!
After initially chatting with these two it was pretty clear that the wedding was happening NO MATTER WHAT. We had a plan A, a plan B, and a plan C just in case things weren’t going to go as initially planned, and we did end up using the plan b. It worked out beautifully as a socially distanced ceremony and short reception.
As someone who is a firm believer in making your wedding day something special to YOU, I loved that they requested everyone to bring their own chairs, and they even live streamed it online to those that weren’t able to make it. Their officiant did a wonderful job sharing a powerful sermon about what it takes to have a successful marriage with God in the center of it, and they had their own personal vows to promise to each other to do just that. Their family and friends prayed over them that they would have a happy marriage, filled with love, babies, and strength to overcome adversity.
I was grateful for be a part of this special day, and it was SO, so good to get back into after so much uncertainty.
Erik and Andrea- thank you SO much for letting me be a small part of your day. It was absolutely stunning and I’m excited to see where life takes you. Congrats!!!!
