This desert portrait session was one of my favorites. Probably ever. I always LOVE shooting with Deidra and I’m never disappointed by all her outfits. She seriously has the cutest outfits, and accessorizes SO well. I was surprised this time when almost every time I asked her about her bracelet or earrings she’d say something like “I got them for $5 at ______.” She just helps me remember that you don’t have to spend a zillion dollars on accessories that aren’t going to be staple pieces in your wardrobe. Now we just need to go shopping! 🙂
Since our last session together, Deidra had the opportunity to represent the Tri-cities at the Mrs. Washington 2017 pageant, and guess what friends! SHE WON!! I’m so excited for her, and know how much time and sweat and stress she put into it! She worked her booty off and absolutely deserves it! It’s fun to listen to her talk about her platform, holistic healing, because it’s something she’s experiences for herself, and because of that, she’s more passionate than most would be about, say, “world peace.” She’s one smart lady, and i’m so happy to call her one of my friends. I can’t wait to see her strut her stuff up on that stage at Mrs. America in August! It’s going to be a good one.
This session was just as fun as the ones we did in the past. We did have a little different view though. Instead of heading to Tri-cities like we normally do, Deidra came out to my house in the boonies! Raylee and my dog, Blitz helped photobomb as we just shot around my house, but we had so much fun.
From cute rompers to the cutest dress from Rent the Runway, her outfits were perfect. My favorite one was her vintage romper! To go with the vintage romper, she found the cutest vintage wood clutch at a consignment shop. Seriously, this lady can find deals for the cutest things. I totally envisioned her on a beach, frolicking in the ocean in that outfit, and we might have to reuse that one in just that setting.
Deidra, thanks for making the trip out to me for our shoot. I LOVE spending that time with you, and laughing at my child doing crazy things. I’m so excited for you to compete at Mrs. America, and I can’t wait to see what awesome things your accomplish! 🙂 You da best!
