I loved these Demonstration Garden engagement photos!!!

The Beginning

When I first met with Dallin & Chandra, I knew that we were going to have a great time together, and get some amazing images.  From the information I got about their wedding day, and from their interests, we decided to do a garden engagement session at the Highlands Grange Park in Kennewick.

I think I have said this before, but I have a special place in my heart for people who date in high school and end up getting married (seeing that i did so myself), and these two’s story is just that.  Nothing like marrying your high school sweetheart, and they really have NO excuse for not knowing what they are getting into. 😉

The Proposal

When I asked about how Dallin proposed, I was a little jealous at his creativity. Turns out Chandra is a pretty big Harry Potter “freak” -Dallin’s words, not mine. HA- and loves reading.  In the sixth Harry Potter book, one of the chapters is called “The unbreakable vow.”  Dallin cut out a square in the pages leading up to the chapter, then tied the ring inside the square. Adorable right!?

We battled the wind on the day of the engagement session, but you would never know the way these two rocked it! The lighting was amazing, the people, SUPER adorable, and MAN! can they kiss on camera! 🙂 I can’t wait for their wedding day this Fall. Here they are–the future Mr. & Mrs. Oakes.
