What do you get when you have a gorgeous girl who’s met the cowboy of her dreams, and her parent’s own a gorgeous wedding venue?? This gorgeous Barn at Blue Meadows wedding!!! I was one of the first photographers that got to shoot a Barn at Blue Meadows wedding years ago, and I was so excited when Malia reached out to photograph her wedding. Barn at Blue Meadow is her parent’s house, and I have been so excited to head back out there. I knew that she would know of all the best spots on the property and that we could utilize it all, and that we did!! Her dad made the comment that she wanted to find a tall cowboy, and she did just that. These two were so easy to take pictures of, I could have done it all day.
Leading up to the wedding day, I had kept my eyes on the weather. It started out with rain, and rain is what we got, but luckily, there was a gorgeous break in the clouds right at their ceremony time. They had the prettiest background with the rainy, stormy clouds rolling in over the hills during the ceremony. Malia had said she had hoped for the dramatic stormy clouds, and she definitely got them! As soon as their ceremony was over, the heavens opened and it POURED rain. We were able to bust out their family photos quickly and then headed into the barn for their reception. It wasn’t too long after the the hail started too! We all couldn’t figure out what the pinging was on the tin roof of the barn, but it didn’t take long to figure it out. We were all just glad it waited for us to get inside.
It was so fun to see these two with all their friends committing to their next adventure. The ceremony was perfect and I don’t think I’ve seen a better dance party! These guys can dance, let me tell ya! I loved so many parts of this wedding– the matching Kimber handguns they got as a wedding gift, Malia’s bridal details, including the leather wrap around her bouquet, even the pies that Malia and her mom made for desserts. I loved it all.
Kyle and Malia– I’m so excited for you guys!!! Thanks for letting me witness such a gorgeous day, and being troopers through all the rain! It was a beautiful day!! Congrats!!!
