One of the favorite parts of my job is seeing my past couples start their own families. Becoming a mom wasn’t something I dreamed about. When I was little, if you would have asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I never would have told you “a mommy!” It wasn’t that I didn’t like kids, I was just the youngest in my family and never really was around babies until my sisters started having their kids, but I was still just a kid myself then and that was the last thing on my mind.
I can say now though that being a mom is one of the most stressful, crazy, and most rewarding things I have done thus far in my life. I think on a daily basis that I don’t know what I did without Raylee in my life. She brings so much joy (a little madness, but mostly joy) into our lives, and I know that when we have another one, they will bring even more into our family! It makes me so happy when I get the news that one of my past couples is expecting. It’s even MORE exciting when I get the text that the babe has finally made it home! đ
I shot Amy and Mike’s Swiftwater Cellars Wedding just a little over a year ago, and I was SO excited when they told me they were expecting. These two are some of my favorites, and I know they are just going to be the best parents! Amy told me that Mike is a great dad already, and I know that she’s an amazing momma herself! This little girl was an angel during her shoot, and I’m so glad that I got to document this sweet little lump for the two of them. Born on October 6th to some of the sweetest people I know–Meet baby Aspen! đ
Oy!! With the sweet baby smiles!!! I can’t even….
